Using hairstylers -adding volume
There is a bit of a myth when it comes to hair straighteners that it flattens your hair and makes it look a bit dull. However, you can create volume with a simple tool – a ghd styler.
A good hair straightener like a pair of ghds mean you can create volume easily. Just view ghd website and find the best pair for your hair type online.
But before you straighten your hair there are other measures you can take in order to get great volume in your hair.
The first thing to do is look at the products that you use on your hair. A lot of people actually have quite a lot of volume in their hair but it gets weighed down by all the products we use on it which leaves a residue on the hair. In order to get rid of this residue, use a clarifying shampoo which will strip out all the extra chemicals and help create volume.
Once you have washed your hair, make sure that you towel dry it so that is partially dry before you blow dry your hair. If you stop blowdrying your hair and there is still moisture left in the hair then you will lose your volume.
When your hair is completely dry, you can then use your straighteners to create a sleek style as well as volume. One trick you can do is to pull the hair away from your head towards the ceiling as that will help create volume. Another thing you could try is to take a rounded barrel brush and use that to follow the straightener down the shaft of the hair, pulling it slightly away from the head. When you get to the end of the hair shaft you can catch it with your brush and curl the ends round the barrel creating volume with neat flicked under ends.
Then use a light spritz of hairspray and your new volumised do should stay in all day and will be a perfect straight look - with no kinks.
